Mr. Sugandh Rajaram

Mr. Sugandh Rajaram assumed charge as the new Consul General of India in Munich on November 8, 2016.Born in 1974, Mr. Sugandh Rajaram obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering in 1994 and had a brief stint as an engineer with a leading steel company in India.
Mr. Sugandh Rajaram entered into Indian Foreign Service in 2001. After initial training at the Foreign Service Institute in New Delhi, he began his diplomatic career at the Indian Mission in Moscow. After returning to the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi he looked after the Sri Lanka desk. Later, he served in the Embassy of India in Jakarta and the Consulate General of India in New York. Prior to his current assignment he served at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as Director in the Divisions of Establishment, Pakistan and External Publicity & Public Diplomacy.
Mr. Sugandh Rajaram speaks Russian and Bahasa Indonesia. He is married to Pratibha Parkar, a fellow diplomat, and has a daughter, aged 12.
